Relevance of the project related to the recent accession of the Russian Federation to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Changing the terms of foreign trade has led to a sharp increase in container traffic. For the timely handling of containers and to avoid congestion on the railways it is necessary the intensification of transport and logistics flows. Growth of export cargoes requires the creation of a transport service with the use of modern logistics technologies.
The implementation of the project will provide the relocation of frozen fish loading operations from Cape Churkin railway station to the area of "Overland Port". It will give the opportunity to decrease the burden on railway station, which is overloaded. Proposal is supported by "Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port" JSC.
Location of the terminal - Artyomovsky urban district (area of Uglovaya railway station), at a distance of 40 km from the port and railway station of Vladivostok and 160 km from the port of Nakhodka and the port of Vostochny, in close proximity to the federal highway Vladivostok-Khabarovsk.
