Logistics

The project entirely complies with the concept of logistic centers development on the basis of the existing Russian Railways network. Russian Railways have already joined the project as a participant. Such logistic center could significantly broaden industrial capacity not only of Nakhodka port, but also of Vladivostok, Posyet and Khasan, border terminals Poltavka and Grodekovo.

Establishment of a logistic center will enable to increase handling of cargo at the juncture of railroad and maritime transportation through optimizing cooperation between the coordinating enterprises and implementation of logistic carriage schemes, efficiently and promptly correcting traffic flows and redistributing them to the destinations (ports) of the region with least intense traffic. Availability of a logistics center will ensure monitoring and prompt regulation of cargo flows upon necessity if any complications with discharge arise in certain ports of the region.

Using logistic technologies to organize cargo shipping is currently the most promising area in the transportation system. Currently we have all the necessary prerequisites to implement logistic principles in organizing transportation; namely the transportation and information infrastructure.
